Weight

Under guise of favor
excitement, one-sided
accept the troubled lot
don't let resolve waver

crawling skin
nowhere to breathe
escape...temporary
despair sets in

trouble follows fears
eleventh hour looming
solutions mocking hope
no relief from tears

trust is a charade
shoulders start to crack
choking on reliance
no voice to persuade.

  2. Very heavy...no pun intended....Seriously this is all emotion and I can feel it, and empathize completely. Wow, these words. I just want to take a deep breath and lift the weight from this piece and show it the light at the end of the tunnel. xo
